In this live webinar hosted by Design Cuts, I'll demonstrate using textures, elements, and photography to create a vibrant layered floral design to be used as art or in packaging and surface pattern design.

The Replay
If you can't catch the webinar live, register anyway so you will have the links for the replay. The replay will be available shortly after the live event and will always be available to watch.
Update: This Replay is no longer available. Sadly, Design Cuts has recently closed their doors after more than a decade. They were truly a stellar platform and awesome people. Unfortunately, I do not have all of the original videos to share, but as I replace them, I'll update the blog and my YouTube channel.
Follow on YouTube and Subscribe to my Newsletter to be notified of new Tutorials.
I'm also available to guest on live events and online or live classes. Leslie Nicole
Photographic Design Step By Step
While I will be showing the design in the following outcomes, the primary focus of the demo will be sharing my techniques for creating the photographic design starting with my flower photographs and adding textures, masks, and overlays. All textures and elements come from the Complete Inspirational Textures and Elements Collection. (50% off until October 20th!)
Beyond The Frame
I like thinking beyond the frame when it comes to ways of using art in our everyday lives. What other surfaces or purposes might your art be used for? How would you like to enjoy your art in your own life or how might it serve a decorative purpose for to bring pleasure to other people's lives?
Perfume Packaging
Matt Slightam, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Design Cuts remarked when he saw this design I created with textures and elements from the Complete Inspirational Textures and Elements Collection that he could see it used in perfume packaging. I've used a mockup here to test the idea. I know I'd buy this perfume!
Packaging and Surface Pattern Design
This year for my birthday, I received a beautiful scented candle with gorgeous artwork and design on the packaging and candle. I immediately wanted to create my own! Plus, shopping bags are such a perfect way to showcase a design and enhance branding.
Fabric Design
One of my personal fascinations is to create designs for clothing! What better way to enjoy our art and designs in a personal way?! I want this dress.
Show Me Your Designs
I hope these examples and the video inspire you to create your own designs.
