The Inspiration Behind Vestige
Vestige began with a simple question: What kind of floral mural would I want to live with every day?
The answer was peonies—one of my favorite flowers—but not in the traditional sense. I wasn't interested in creating a mural filled with bright, oversized blooms demanding attention. I wanted something quieter. Something that invited you in rather than announcing itself the moment you entered the room.
I also wanted the artwork to have a little edge. Layers of worn textures, subtle vintage details, and a sense of history soften the romance of the flowers, creating a balance between elegance and imperfection. The result is an atmospheric composition that feels timeless rather than trendy—equally at home in a contemporary loft, a boutique hotel, or a serene wellness space.
Vestige is about more than flowers. It's about creating an atmosphere that reveals itself gradually, rewarding a closer look with layers of texture, depth, and quiet beauty.

Vestige Perle takes this concept a step further, softening the colors until it becomes almost architectural—a luminous patina that feels as though it has evolved naturally over time. The flowers remain present, but they whisper rather than speak, blending into the space with quiet elegance.

Vestige brings romantic warmth to the space without dominating the room or becoming overly sweet. Soft peonies, layered textures, and carefully curated vintage elements create an atmosphere that feels both elegant and timeless while allowing the architecture and furnishings to remain part of the conversation.

Vestige is equally at home in wellness environments, where its soft palette and layered textures contribute to a sense of calm and restoration. Rather than demanding attention, the artwork becomes part of the atmosphere, encouraging moments of quiet reflection.

In a restaurant setting, Vestige creates an inviting backdrop that enhances the dining experience without competing for attention. Its romantic florals and layered textures bring warmth, character, and a sense of understated elegance to the space.

With its restrained palette and layered textures, Vestige Perle offers a fresh interpretation of floral design for contemporary interiors. The result is a space that feels warm and inviting without sacrificing its modern edge.

Discovering the Details
While Vestige is designed to be experienced as a whole, a closer look reveals the many layers that give the artwork its depth and character. Vintage butterflies, fragments of French typography, ornamental motifs, and timeworn textures are woven quietly throughout the composition, rewarding a closer look without distracting from the overall design.
One of my favorite discoveries is the vintage butterfly, hovering near the peonies alongside a subtle trefoil motif that emerges through the layered textures. These quiet details create a sense of history and invite the eye to linger.

On the opposite side of the composition, the faded Rue d'Auteuil typography becomes more apparent—a fragment of vintage French ephemera that adds another layer of story and place. Rather than dominating the artwork, these elements become part of its architectural patina, enriching the composition with a sense of time and memory.
