I used a painterly texture from the new Virtuoso Painterly collection as the background to this floral design.
Floral Art From Flower Photography
The floral motifs were photographs of dahlias from my garden that I processed with the Photoshop filters, Snap Art by AlienSkin (color) and Simplify by *Topaz Labs (line art).
The Background
The background is the texture, Finesse, from the Virtuoso Painterly Texture Collection.
It's always interesting how a background can change everything. I have an early design version with these motifs using a watery acrylic painting I did. While I like that version, when I finished this texture I realized how great it would work. I reworked the motif placement a little, but mostly, the background both blends with the floral and makes it pop.
Artwork Merchandising
The final piece works great as a fresh, vibrant pop of color on canvas.
Canvas art mock-up from Creative Interiors on Creative Market.
I've also mocked it up on a cushion and used the texture as wallpaper! (Little note - Our Terms of Use does not allow the texture to be used as is for product development. It must be incorporated into a new design such as the floral design.)
Throw pillow & chair Mock-up from Creative Market. (Floor and baseboard added from Creative Interiors)
I look forward to seeing what you come up with using the Finesse Texture!
